- GPS Location Data: Real-time latitude, longitude, altitude, speed, heading, and timestamps from your GPS device
- Device Information: Device identifiers, labels, and Traccar device IDs
- Usage Data: Session information, intent statements, and SpotterNetwork integration settings
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide real-time location tracking services to you and other authorized users
- Display your location on maps and in placefiles
- Relay your position to third-party services you explicitly enable (e.g., SpotterNetwork)
- Maintain and improve the Service
- Communicate with you about your account
3. Data Sharing and Visibility
Important: By nature, GPS tracking services are not private. Your location data is shared with:
- Other registered users of Bolt who can view your real-time location
- Third-party services you explicitly enable (e.g., SpotterNetwork)
- Anyone accessing placefiles generated by the Service
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers operated by Bolt and maintained by Austin Burk. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including:
- Secure password hashing using Argon2id
- Secure HTTPS connections
- Database access controls
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your GPS location history and account information for as long as your account is active. Historical position data is stored indefinitely to maintain tracking records.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your account information
- Update or correct your account details
- Request deletion of your account
- Opt out of third-party data sharing by disabling SpotterNetwork integration
7. Cookies and Tracking
We use session cookies to maintain your logged-in state. These cookies are essential for the Service to function properly.
